Red River Navigation Project

The 11th annual Water Resource Conference will take place on Monday in Texarkana and will be hosted by the Red River Valley Association. The main topic of discussion will be navigation of the Red River north from Shreveport/Bossier into Arkansas. Funding has been a major roadblock. The Red River Waterways Project Trust Fund was raided for $3M several sessions ago and has a pretty small balance. I understand it'll take approximately $27M to see the project through.
