Count Florida Votes
countfloridavotes.com went online today at noon. Here's an excerpt from the front page:
The DNC has ruled that NONE of Florida's votes count in the Democratic Primary while the RNC has decreed that only HALF of Florida's votes will count in their primary. Florida's 3.6 million voters had nothing to do with the date of their primary -- their only "mistake" was to exercise their constitutional right to vote. 1 person, 1 vote is a tenet of the Voting Rights Act of 1962, an act we believe is being violated by both parties. It's an unfortunate mess. It's unamerican to forfeit the vote from two of the largest states in the union, but the states knew the rules when the election dates were set. The only practical solution, of course, is to have a re-do in both of the states, but it looks as though the lines have already been drawn and everything is being viewed in terms of how it benefits a particular candidate. We'll see if they can come up with funds to pay for a new contest and submit a plan before June.
