House District 45 race gets underway

HD45 Republican candidate Bill Fechtelkotter kicked off his campaign last night with a reception in Conway that included Janet Huckabee and Gil Baker. Here's a link to today's Log Cabin Democrat article. He faces Democrat Linda Tyler, who narrowly beat Terry Fiddler in the May Democratic primary. This seat, currently held by term-limited Betty Pickett, covers most of southern Conway and southern Faulkner County.

Tyler has also kicked off her campaign for the general election. This is just one of two big legislative races taking place in Faulkner County -- the other being the race for Senate District 30 with incumbent Gil Baker (R) and challenger Joe White (D).
