Notes on today's service -- Update
KATV.com and Fox 16 will be carrying the funeral of Bill Gwatney live. Governor Beebe will speak at the service, and Bill and Hillary Clinton are expected to be in attendance, along with General Wesley Clark and all other Arkansas Democrats. The Westboro clan will be in attendance as well under the parameters set forth in a 2006 state law. Here are a couple of tributes to Gwatney that appear today: Pat Lynch; Andrew DeMillo.
Flags are flying at half staff today at the Capitol.
Update: Very nice and appropriate comments from Rev. Vic Nixon, Governor Beebe, former President Clinton, and Russell Gwatney. Over 1,000 showed for the service. Outside, you have to put up with some pretty aggravating things (Westboro picketers) when you have a free country, but thanks to the Patriot Guard for their work. Here are a few pictures:
