Gasoline 30¢ cheaper across the border from Mtn. Home

Mountain Home residents are upset that gasoline is selling for $2.99 in Gainesville, Missouri, while it's much higher (up to 44 cents in some case) just across the state line in Mountain Home. One resident blames it on taxes, but the gasoline tax disparity between Arkansas and Missouri is just four cents. I can normally count on gas being about 10 cents higher in Arkadelphia/Caddo Valley than it is both here and in Little Rock. Here's the story from today's Baxter Bulletin.
