Governor appoints two prosecutors to fill vacancies
Governor Beebe today named Mike Walden of Jonesboro and Will Feland of Cabot as prosecuting attorneys in the 2nd and 23rd Judicial Districts, respectively. Both appointments will take effect on January 1, 2009. Walden has been a deputy prosecutor in Craighead County for the past decade and has worked with that office since 1976. He will replace Brent Davis, who is resigning to become a circuit judge.
Feland is a former prosecutor in Prairie and White Counties. He will replace Lona McCastlain, who is resigning to move overseas.
