Capitol switchboard needs an overhaul

Ugh. One of the peculiarities of representing a border town is that messages left for me to return from my constituents are often from cell phones, virtually all of which in my district have Texas phone numbers assigned to them because of where the retailers are located.

The Capitol phone system won't allow phone calls to be placed outside the state, so that leaves me to return the calls from my cell phone (which for some reason draws only one bar here inside the Capitol, and the dropped calls are frequent -- that is, if calls can be made in the first place).
