House, Senate pass and exchange budget bills
The House voted to approve the state's Revenue Stabilization Act and balanced budget (HB1736) by a vote of 90 votes for and two voting "present" (Reps. King, Hopper). The House also voted 94-0 in favor of HB1778, which distributes the 87th session projects account of the General Improvement Fund. Those bills have been sent to the Senate, who will cast votes on them today and transmit them to the governor. The Senate voted on identical bills yesterday, which are on today's House calendar. We'll vote on them today and send them to the governor's desk. The Senate approved both bills 35-0.
