Bruce Reed: Passing of the torch at the DLC

So I'm sitting here on the floor of the House this afternoon when my phone buzzes with a 202 number. It was Bruce Reed, the new chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council making his rounds. Al From retired his post as President and CEO of the organization, which he helped found decades ago, and Reed has been named to lead this centrist organization. When Reed joined the organization, Democrats were in the political wilderness. I truly believe that this organization's mission to govern from the middle has helped make the party the nation's majority party.
